The “Dune”-chronology classifies several,some-times competing, on other occasions galactic powers collaborate. The “Guild” monopolizing intergalactic travelling and trade. The “Bene Gesserit”, witches, that control the breeding and bloodlines. Goal is the creation of a Mastermind. Tleilaxu; shapeshifters and masters of resurrection. The Emperor, Master of the Universe; powerless and protocol-only, and the “Landsraad”, a cosmic parliament, consisting of local feudal rulers. Humans, in the billions, fighting the never-ending wars and producing the goods and deliver the services, the God-like rulers want.
As above, so below.
