THE SHROUD OF TURIN, new evidence. BBC documentary The Shroud of Turin New Evidence. The argument over the authenticity of the Turin Shroud has taken a new twist after researchers say they may have found fresh evidence that the cloth bears the face of Christ. A team carrying out work in some of Rome's ancient catacombs have discovered a ceiling fresco which they believe shows the same man as the image on the holy relic.

Ode aan de Vader

Vader Uw weg is de oer echte weg

Dit is onze oorsprong

Dit is ons behoud en toekomst

Deze weg houdt ook onze wortelen vast

Vast op de gegoede aarde

Onze wortelen zijn onze voorvaderen en dit zijn Abraham,Isaac en Jacob

U Vader, Zoon en Heilige Geest plantte ons op aarde

U gaf ons water en u schiep de zon en alles om ons tot een grote talrijke wijnplant te laten uitgroeien.

Wij de ranken rijken tot aan Uw Hemelse Paleis sinds dat Uw Zoon de deur weer opende van Uw woning

Dank voor alles bij deze voor Uw Allerheiligste enig geboren Zoon.

Zijn menswording, dus ons gelijke worden, is voor ons inzicht geven in onze levenswandel.

Zijn dood, of beter gezegd zijn kruisiging is voor ons een gruwel.

Wij willen en wensen dit zelf nooit mee te maken.

Dit is zo schrikbarend dat wij braaf allemaal kiezen voor het goede.

De paden die voor ieder van ons door Uw Zoon uitgestippeld is lopen we allemaal af en we komen bij onze schepper aan en belijden onze schulden

Onze grootste schuld is de dood van Uw Allerliefste Zoon en onze Redder de Heer Jezus Christus genaamd.

Laat Vader deze beker ons weer voorbij gaan.

Wij kunnen dit niet aan maar neem Uw mensenkinderen aan.

Greed for 'badhai' tip led to Rajasthan baby swap

JAIPUR: The lure of 'badhai' tip paid by parents of a newborn male child to the hospital staff seems to have led to the baby swap at Jodhpur's government-run Umaid Hospital nine days ago.
A baby girl was born to Poonam Kanwar. To extort money from her family, the hospital staff handed her a baby boy. After about two hours, the boy was taken away from Poonam and she was told that she had given birth to a girl.

"Some members of the hospital staff told us that Poonam had given birth to a boy. They demanded 'badhai' tip. They said all parents blessed with a boy pay the tip," said Kailash Kanwar, Poonam's relative. He was with her at the time of delivery. Later, it was found that the baby boy was born to Reshmi Devi while Poonam had a girl at Umaid Hospital on March 25. But the staff gave the boy to Poonam. After the boy was taken away from her, she was flummoxed. Both Poonam and Reshmi claimed the boy.
Hospital superintendent Dr Narendra Chhangani said, "An inquiry has been ordered. Action will be taken if allegations are proved," said Chhangani. Sources said a similar incident happened in 2005 when two babies were switched at Umaid Hospital for the 'badhai' tip. It resulted in a dispute between two families from Jodhpur who claimed the baby boy.
"The matter was then sorted out through a DNA test in Hyderabad that helped identifying parents of the baby girl," said a senior hospital staff. After the goof-up, the hospital administration banned paying 'badhai' tip to the staff. Later, the practice resumed.
